During the 2024 season, the sidewalks were humming with Laurie Rousseau playing hurdy-gurdy, LamboLaw jazz guitar duo, and the Long Branch Boys.

In the galleries, Torren Nehrboss on harp and Neil Lamb on jazz guitar delighted viewers. While Josh Popkin & Remington Pontes played in Wiscasset’s new Aekeir Brewing.

Hold Back the Night BLOCK PARTY! September 28, 2023, 6:30-8:30pm

As the sun set early in late Sept., the WAW transformed into a block party on Water St.! Music and contra dance lessons by T-Acadie, Jodie’s Restaurant selections, and anniversary cupcakes to celebrate ten years of Wiscasset Art Walk!

T-Acadie played contra dance tunes and taught some steps under the tent on Sept. 28, 2023.

Lambo Law: Guitar Duet played on the sidewalk at the June 29, 2023 WAW! Neil Lamb and Dave Lawlor - jazz guitarists extraordinary!

Lynn Cummings plays bodhran, Forest Weston on didgeridoo, and Heather MacLeod on penny whistle during the July 27, 2023 WAW !

Chris Lannon and Rick Turcotte brought their high octane country blues sound to WAW on August 31, 2023.

19 Towns/19 Stories

On August 29, 2024, WAW participated in a week-long program of events (in each of Lincoln County’s 19 towns) highlighting the effects of addiction on individuals, family and friends, and community. Learn more here.

WAW time changes to 4-7pm

With the encouragement of Village shops, families, and other visitors, WAW will now be running from 4pm to 7pm each month during the 2024 season. Y’all come!


Making origami cranes, an international symbol of peace and love.

Wiscasset Art Walk partnered with Healthy Lincoln County on International Overdose Awareness Day, Aug. 31, using art-making and sharing of stories, to acknowledge the devastation of drug use and hope for recovery. It was a memorable evening! More info here.

MAKE YOUR OWN MUSIC

Our hand-made instruments - an amadinda-style xylophone and cajons (box drums) - return for Visitor fun!

In 2022, experimental instrument maker Jim doble made an amadinda from whole logs and woodworker rick burns made cajons - on the village sidewalks!

SIDEWALKS as STAGE in 2024

From harvesting to constructing, Maria Salcines of Fogwood Gardens created a cascade of bloom on a Wiscasset Village railing during WAW August 2024!

Dueling on the sidewalks of Wiscasset Village in July! Thanks to Midcoast Fencing Athletic Club’s students. HIGH DRAMA!

For a horse of a different color, Woodfield Farm’s steeds chauffeured visitors around the Village (all rides free)!

Wiscasset resident Laurie Rousseau is a hardy-gurdy musician and brings her musicality to Wiscasset Art Walk sidewalks through the 2024 season!


Throughout the WAW 2024 season, artist Lizzie Wood painted a schooner cutout as a lead-in to Wiscasset Schoonerfest on September 21.
