The Wiscasset Art Walk tradition of making community art continues during the Thursday, July 28 evening, from 5 to 8pm. Musicians and woodworkers will stake out their spot on the sidewalk to hand-make percussive instruments for visitors to play.

Wiscasset Art Walk wraps up successful season
After some initial showers, the sky cleared for a successful final Wiscasset Art Walk of the season on Thursday evening, Sept. 30.
Artist Susan Perrine was creating a garden structure from twigs on the sidewalk outside Wiscasset Bay Gallery. Perrine said she had numerous event-goers helping with the weaving throughout the evening.

Big Sidewalks Welcome a Variety of Art and Art-Making
WISCASSET, MAINE – The new sidewalks in Wiscasset Village are finally getting the workout they deserve. In 2019, the sidewalks were under construction during an MDOT project and underused during the Covid shutdown of 2020. But on Thursday, August 26, from 5 to 8pm, art, art-making, music, dancers, and performers invite residents and visitors to enjoy the luxurious spaces which become an impromptu stage.

WISCASSET, MAINE – Trifles I, an art and antique gallery at 55 Main St. in Wiscasset Village, will be hosting abstract painter Tom Flanagan during Wiscasset Art Walk on Thursday, August 26, 5-8pm. An exhibit of Flanagan’s paintings, Cut Flowers, features the artist’s use of vibrant color, graphic shapes, and bold lines.

Jonathan Waldo Solo Retrospective Show in Hasenfus Gallery
WISCASSET, MAINE – Selected pieces from Jonathan Waldo’s 42-year career in making musical instruments, furniture, and art will be on display in the Hasenfus Gallery, 64 Main St., during Wiscasset Art Walk on Thursday, August 26, 5-8pm. He will be demonstrating some of the instruments during the evening.
Wiscasset Creative Alliance Wins Maine Arts Commission Grants
State Funding Supports Community Projects
The Maine Arts Commission has awarded two grants to Wiscasset Creative Alliance to support community-building activities in and around Wiscasset Village. The Alliance is an ‘umbrella’ non-profit which serves as the home base for Wiscasset Art Walk, Wiscasset’s Museum in the Streets, Wiscasset Marketfest, and Friends of Wiscasset Village, providing the benefits of non-profit status to this collection of local community initiatives.
